The Franklin Central Flashes (Indianapolis, IN) softball the visiting Mt. Vernon Marauders (Fortville, IN), 5-2 in Wednesday's non-league outing.

The Flashes now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Greenfield-Central for a non-league outing on Thursday, April 9. Franklin Central will encounter a Cougars team coming off a 15-2 non-league win over Rushville (Rushville, IN). The Cougars record now stands at 2-3.

With the loss, Mt. Vernon moves to 1-2 on the season. The Marauders host Hamilton Southeastern (Fishers, IN) to encounter the Royals in a non-league outing on Monday, April 13. The Royals come into the outing with a record of 4-0.
