In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Polytechnic Panthers softball team scored a tight 5-3 win over the Harvard-Westlake Wolverines.
The Panthers (8-2) will now prepare for their match against Grace (Simi Valley, CA). The Lancers come into the non-league match with a 7-7 record. In their last match, Grace nipped Buena (Ventura, CA), 13-6, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Wolverines battle the Providence Pioneers (Burbank, CA) in a non-league match, on Thursday, April 9. Harvard-Westlake will attempt to better on its 3-4 season record. The Pioneers come into the match with a 10-1 record after their 1-0 non-league win over Marquez (Huntington Park, CA).
