Spectators at Saturday's non-league battle between the St. George's Gryphons (Collierville, TN) and the host South Gibson Hornets (Medina, TN), saw St. George's's baseball squad knock off South Gibson by a count of 7-3.

Coming up next, the Gryphons play the First Assembly Christian Crusaders (Cordova, TN) in a D II-A West 6 battle, on Monday, April 11. St. George's will attempt to move on its 9-10 season record. The Crusaders enter the battle with a 9-4 record after their 13-0 league loss to Northpoint Christian (Southaven, MS).

The Hornets now possess a 11-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Liberty Tech Magnet for a 3A District 12 battle on Monday, April 11. South Gibson will play a Crusaders squad coming off a 23-4 non-league loss to Sacred Heart of Jesus (Jackson, TN). The Crusaders record now stands at 4-6.
