The Father McGivney Catholic Griffins soccer team scored 8 points and limited the visiting Centralia Orphans to 0 in the Griffins non-league victory on Saturday.
Next, the Griffins face the Civic Memorial Eagles (Bethalto, IL) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, April 12. Father McGivney Catholic will attempt to better on its 7-4 season record. The Eagles enter the contest with a 6-5 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Marquette Catholic (Alton, IL).
The Orphans now have a 0-6 record. They take the field next when they host Hillsboro for a non-league contest on Monday, April 11. Centralia will face a Hiltoppers team coming off a 7-0 non-league loss to Pleasant Plains/New Berlin (Pleasant Plains, IL). The Hiltoppers record now stands at 5-2.
