Somerset Briar Jumpers (Somerset, KY) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Bethlehem Eagles/Banshees (Bardstown, KY), 7-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Briar Jumpers now sport a 7-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Garrard County for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 11.
With the loss, Bethlehem falls to 7-3 on the campaign. The Eagles/banshees host Nelson County (Bardstown, KY) to face the Cardinals in a District 19 challenge on Monday, April 11. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a record of 2-6.
