The Tremont Turks routed the visiting Bloomington Central Catholic Saints softball squad by a final score of 12-4 in Saturday's non-league battle.
The Turks (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Deer Creek-Mackinaw (Mackinaw, IL). The Chiefs go into the Heart of Illinois battle with a 1-5 record. In their last battle, Deer Creek-Mackinaw notched a victory over Blue Ridge (Farmer City, IL), 14-5, in a non-league battle.
The Saints now possess a 6-4 record. They play next when they host Prairie Central for a Illini Prairie battle on Monday, April 11. Bloomington Central Catholic will meet a Hawks squad coming off a 19-1 league win over St. Thomas More (Champaign, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 2-6.
