In Saturday's non-league contest, the Santa Fe Chiefs (Santa Fe Springs, CA) softball team held off the host Chino Cowboys (Chino, CA), by a margin of 2-1.
With the triumph, Santa Fe moves its record to 11-11 on the year. The Chiefs travel to El Rancho (Pico Rivera, CA) to play the Dons in a Del Rio contest on Monday, April 11. The Dons come into the contest with a record of 10-13. El Rancho won 6-0 in their recent league contest against Whittier (Whittier, CA)
In their next game, the Cowboys play the Baldwin Park Braves (Baldwin Park, CA) in a Mt. Baldy contest, on Tuesday, April 12. Chino will attempt to move on its 7-13 season record. The Braves come into the contest with a 3-15 record after their 14-4 league loss to Montclair (Montclair, CA).
