Torrance Tartars (Torrance, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Granada Hills Charter Highlanders (Granada Hills, CA), 6-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Tartars now own a 18-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to South for a Pioneer challenge on Wednesday, April 13. Torrance will face a Spartans squad coming off a 10-1 non-league loss to Villa Park (Villa Park, CA). The Spartans record now stands at 16-5.

With the loss, Granada Hills Charter falls to 13-7 on the campaign. The Highlanders travel to Castaic (Castaic, CA) to face the Coyotes in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 9. The Coyotes enter the challenge with a record of 0-7. Castaic lost 12-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Glendale (Glendale, CA)
