Hamilton County Foxes (McLeansboro, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Waltonville Spartans (Waltonville, IL), 10-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Foxes now own a 9-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Crab Orchard for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 11. Hamilton County will face a Trojans squad coming off a 12-4 non-league loss to Waltonville (Waltonville, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 4-5.

With the loss, Waltonville falls to 10-3 on the campaign. The Spartans host Zeigler-Royalton (Zeigler, IL) to face the Tornadoes in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 11. The Tornadoes enter the challenge with a record of 8-0. Zeigler-Royalton won 5-1 in their recent league challenge against Vienna (Vienna, IL)
