Nebraska High School Baseball - Central City/Centura wallops Crete

April 9, 2024: Central City, NE

Central City/Centura Kernels (Central City, NE) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Crete Cardinals (Crete, NE), 12-2 in a non-league test.

With the win, Central City/Centura upgrades its record to 9-2 on the season. The Kernels travel to Lincoln Lutheran (Lincoln, NE) to battle the Warriors in a non-league test on Thursday, April 11. The Warriors come into the test with a record of 9-2. Lincoln Lutheran won 18-4 in their recent non-league test against Centennial (Utica, NE)

With the defeat, Crete moves to 6-10 on the year. The Cardinals host Fairbury (Fairbury, NE) to clash with the Jeffs in a non-league game on Friday, April 12. The Jeffs go into the game with a record of 4-6. Fairbury lost 11-1 in their recent non-league game against Twin River (Genoa, NE)
