New Richmond Lions (New Richmond, OH) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Blanchester Wildcats (Blanchester, OH), 13-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions now sport a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Williamsburg for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 11. New Richmond will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 13-0 non-league win over Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy (Cincinnati, OH). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-1.

With the loss, Blanchester falls to 1-10 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Bethel-Tate (Bethel, OH) to face the Tigers in a Southern Buckeye AA - National challenge on Wednesday, April 10. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 2-2.
