Woodland Regional Hawks (Beacon Falls, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Brookfield Bobcats (Brookfield, CT), 6-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Hawks now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Crosby for a Naugatuck Valley - Brass challenge on Wednesday, April 10. Woodland Regional will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 15-1 league loss to Holy Cross (Waterbury, CT). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-5.

With the loss, Brookfield falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to Woodstock Academy (Woodstock, CT) to battle the Centaurs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 13. The Centaurs enter the challenge with a record of 2-2. Woodstock Academy lost 7-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Ledyard (Ledyard, CT)
