Macomb Bombers (Macomb, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Camp Point Central Panthers (Camp Point, IL), 6-5 in a non-league challenge.
The Bombers now own a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Farmington for a Prairieland game on Saturday, April 13. Macomb will clash with a Farmers team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Mercer County (Aledo, IL). The Farmers record now stands at 2-4.
In their next game, the Panthers clash with the Oakwood Comets (Fithian, IL) in a non-league game, on Saturday, April 13. Camp Point Central will attempt to move on its 5-5 season record. The Comets come into the game with a 3-8 record after their 12-2 non-league loss to Danville (Danville, IL).
