Cloquet Lumberjacks (Cloquet, MN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Duluth East Greyhounds (Duluth, MN), 12-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Lumberjacks now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hibbing for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 15. Cloquet will face a Bluejackets squad coming off a 11-1 non-league win over Moose Lake/Willow River (Moose Lake, MN). The Bluejackets record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, Duluth East falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Greyhounds host Northwestern (Maple, WI) to face the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 10.
