Croswell-Lexington Pioneers (Croswell, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Imlay City Spartans (Imlay City, MI), 8-7 in a league challenge.

The Pioneers now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Brown City for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 11.

With the loss, Imlay City falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Spartans host Marysville (Marysville, MI) to battle the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 15. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Marysville won 13-3 in their recent league challenge against Lake Shore (St. Clair Shores, MI)
