The Hanover Park Hornets (East Hanover, NJ) softball routed the visiting Newark Academy Minutemen (Livingston, NJ), 14-3 in Tuesday's non-league bout.
The Hornets (3-0) will now prepare for their bout against Livingston (Livingston, NJ). The Lancers go into the non-league bout with a 3-2 record. In their last bout, Livingston notched a victory over Cedar Grove (Cedar Grove, NJ), 6-1, in a league bout.
The Minutemen now possess a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Glen Ridge for a SEC - Liberty bout on Wednesday, April 10. Newark Academy will confront a Ridgers squad coming off a 4-1 non-league win over Nutley (Nutley, NJ). The Ridgers record now stands at 2-2.
