The Martins Ferry Purple Riders routed the visiting Monroe Central Seminoles softball squad by a final score of 13-3 in Tuesday's non-league battle.

The Purple Riders (4-1) will now prepare for their battle against Bellaire (Bellaire, OH). The Big Reds go into the non-league battle with a 2-5 record. In their last battle, Bellaire topped Shadyside (Shadyside, OH), 12-3, in a non-league battle.

The Seminoles now possess a 1-2 record. They play next when they host River for a Ohio Valley Athletic AA battle on Wednesday, April 10.
