The Alton Redbirds triumphed over the visiting Gillespie Miners baseball squad by a score of 10-3 in Wednesday's non-league outing.
Next up, the Redbirds battle the East St. Louis Flyers (East St. Louis, IL) in a Southwestern outing, on Thursday, April 10. Alton will attempt to advance on its 9-4 season record. The Flyers come into the outing with a 2-3 record after their 16-0 non-league win over Roosevelt (St. Louis, MO).
The Miners (4-5) will now prepare for their outing against Vandalia (Vandalia, IL). The Vandals come into the South Central outing with a 2-3 record. In their last outing, Vandalia was overwhelmed by Altamont (Altamont, IL), 11-3, in a non-league outing.
