In Wednesday's league game, the host Newton South Lions baseball team scored a close 2-0 win over the Bedford Buccaneers.
The Lions (3-0) will now prepare for their game against Needham (Needham, MA). The Rockets go into the non-league game with a 0-3 record. In their last game, Needham by Brookline (Brookline, MA), 7-3, in a non-league game.
