The crowd at Wednesday's non-league battle between the South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) and the host West Caldwell Warriors (Lenoir, NC), saw South Caldwell's baseball team gain a win over West Caldwell by a tally of 14-0.

The Spartans (16-1) will now prepare for their battle against Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC). The Cougars enter the Northwestern 3A/4A battle with a 10-7 record. In their last battle, Alexander Central was overwhelmed by Watauga (Boone, NC), 10-1, in a league battle.

Next, the Warriors face the Bandys Trojans (Catawba, NC) in a Catawba Valley Athletic 2A battle, on Friday, April 11. West Caldwell will attempt to upgrade on its 1-18 season record. The Trojans enter the battle with a 4-10 record after their 6-1 league loss to Newton-Conover (Newton, NC).
