The Brother Rice Crusaders baseball team scored 9 runs and held the host Fenwick Friars to 2 in the Crusaders non-league win on Wednesday.

The Crusaders now own a 12-1 record. They take the field next when they host Lyons for a non-league test on Thursday, April 10. Brother Rice will play a Lions team coming off a 6-1 non-league win over Lincoln-Way Central (New Lenox, IL). The Lions record now stands at 1-0.

With the defeat, Fenwick drops to 2-5 on the year. The Friars travel to Chicago Mt. Carmel (Chicago, IL) to play the Caravan in a non-league test on Friday, April 11. The Caravan go into the test with a record of 2-1. Chicago Mt. Carmel won 8-3 in their recent non-league test against Marist (Chicago, IL)
