In Wednesday's league contest, the visiting St. John-Vianney Lancers lacrosse squad scored a tight 11-7 win over the Liberty Lions.

The Lancers (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against St. Joseph (Metuchen, NJ). The Falcons enter the non-league contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, St. Joseph nipped Old Bridge (Old Bridge, NJ), 15-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Lions meet the Ocean Township Spartans (Oakhurst, NJ) in a Shore A - South contest, on Saturday, April 12. Liberty will attempt to better on its 1-3 season record. The Spartans enter the contest with a 3-2 record after their 12-7 league win over Colts Neck (Colts Neck, NJ).
