The crowd at Wednesday's league bout between the Beverly Panthers (Beverly, MA) and the host Winthrop Vikings (Winthrop, MA), observed Beverly's softball team notch a victory over Winthrop by a tally of 11-2.

The Panthers (2-0) will now prepare for their bout against Danvers (Danvers, MA). The Falcons go into the Northeast bout with a 1-0 record. In their last bout, Danvers gained a win over Peabody Veterans Memorial (Peabody, MA), 9-6, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Vikings battle the Swampscott Big Blue (Swampscott, MA) in a Northeast bout, on Friday, April 11. Winthrop will attempt to advance on its 2-3 season record. The Big Blue go into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 4-1 league loss to Marblehead (Marblehead, MA).
