Rhode Island High School Softball - Smithfield bounces Cumberland

In Wednesday's league match, the host Smithfield Sentinels softball team scored a nice 10-0 win over the Cumberland Clippers.

The Sentinels (3-1) will now prepare for their match against Prout (Wakefield, RI). The Crusaders come into the Division 1 match with a 2-3 record. In their last match, Prout was routed by East Providence (East Providence, RI), 8-2, in a league match.

In their next game, the Clippers battle the North Kingstown Skippers (North Kingstown, RI) in a Division 1 match, on Saturday, April 12. Cumberland will attempt to better on its 0-3 season record. The Skippers come into the match with a 2-1 record after their 12-11 league win over Prout (Wakefield, RI).
