In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Masconomet Regional Chieftains softball team scored a tight 10-3 win over the Saugus Sachems.

The Chieftains (1-4) will now prepare for their match against Beverly (Beverly, MA). The Panthers come into the non-league match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Beverly nipped Danvers (Danvers, MA), 8-7, in a league match.

In their next game, the Sachems battle the Gloucester Fishermen (Gloucester, MA) in a Northeast match, on Friday, April 11. Saugus will attempt to better on its 2-2 season record. The Fishermen come into the match with a 4-0 record after their 4-1 league win over Danvers (Danvers, MA).
