The Wheeling Wildcats baseball team scored 11 runs and held the host Addison Trail Blazers to 5 in the Wildcats non-league win on Thursday.
The Wildcats now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Barrington for a non-league test on Friday, April 10. Wheeling will play a Broncos team coming off a 10-5 non-league loss to Libertyville (Libertyville, IL). The Broncos record now stands at 4-4.
With the defeat, Addison Trail drops to 3-4 on the year. The Blazers host Oak Park-River Forest (Oak Park, IL) to play the Huskies in a non-league test on Friday, April 10. The Huskies go into the test with a record of 7-4. Oak Park-River Forest lost 5-2 in their recent league test against Lyons (LaGrange, IL)
