Indiana High School Baseball - Benton Central sneaks past Covington

April 9, 2026: Oxford, IN 47971

The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the Benton Central Bison (Oxford, IN) and the visiting Covington Trojans (Covington, IN), saw Benton Central's baseball team get by Covington by a tally of 9-8.

The Bison (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Rensselaer Central (Rensselaer, IN). The Bombers enter the Hoosier battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Rensselaer Central was tipped by Lowell (Lowell, IN), 7-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Trojans face the North Putnam Cougars (Roachdale, IN) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, April 11. Covington will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Cougars enter the battle with a 0-2 record after their 4-3 league loss to Crawfordsville (Crawfordsville, IN).
