The North Reading Hornets got by the visiting Bedford Buccaneers baseball team by a count of 8-7 in Sunday's non-league bout.
The Hornets now possess a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they host Triton Regional for a CAL Kinney bout on Tuesday, May 3. North Reading will face a Vikings team coming off a 7-4 league loss to Newburyport (Newburyport, MA). The Vikings record now stands at 6-4.
Next, the Buccaneers face the Westford Academy Grey Ghosts (Westford, MA) in a Dual County bout, on Monday, May 2. Bedford will attempt to move on its 2-8 season record. The Grey Ghosts enter the bout with a 8-0 record after their 6-1 league win over Boston Latin (Boston, MA).
