The crowd at Sunday's non-league match between the Almont Raiders (Almont, MI) and the host Shepherd Bluejays (Shepherd, MI), saw Almont's softball squad nip Shepherd by a count of 5-4.

The Raiders now sport a 13-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Howell for a non-league match on Sunday, May 1. Almont will face a Highlanders squad coming off a 4-3 non-league win over North Farmington (Farmington Hills, MI). The Highlanders record now stands at 10-3.

With the loss, Shepherd falls to 0-1 on the season. The Bluejays host Beaverton (Beaverton, MI) to meet the Beavers in a Jack Pine battle on Tuesday, May 3. The Beavers go into the battle with a record of 0-0.
