In Monday's non-league battle, the host Bear Creek Bears soccer squad scored a close 7-2 triumph over the Alameda Pirates.
The Bears (5-9) will now prepare for their battle against Columbine (Littleton, CO). The Rebels come into the 5A Jefferson County battle with a 8-4 record. In their last battle, Columbine was overwhelmed by Pine Creek (Colorado Springs, CO), 4-1, in a non-league battle.
The Pirates (3-10) will now prepare for their battle against Adams City (Commerce City, CO). The Eagles come into the 5A/4A/3A Colorado battle with a 11-1 record. In their last battle, Adams City nudged Thornton (Thornton, CO), 2-0, in a league battle.
