In Monday's non-league outing, the host Calvert Cavaliers softball team scored a close 4-3 win over the St. Mary's Ryken Knights.

Coming up next, the Cavaliers encounter the Leonardtown Raiders (Leonardtown, MD) in a Southern Maryland outing, on Wednesday, May 3. Calvert will attempt to upgrade on its 16-1 season record. The Raiders enter the outing with a 11-7 record after their 10-0 league win over Great Mills (Great Mills, MD).

The Knights (11-3) will now prepare for their outing against Paul VI (Chantilly, VA). The Panthers enter the Washington Catholic outing with a 5-9 record. In their last outing, Paul VI tipped The Academy of the Holy Cross (Kensington, MD), 17-8, in a league outing.
