Spectators at Monday's non-league match between the Yates Center Wildcats (Yates Center, KS) and the host Chetopa Hornets (Chetopa, KS), witnessed Yates Center's softball squad tip Chetopa by a count of 7-0.
The Wildcats now sport a 6-4 record. They play next when they host Eureka for a non-league match on Thursday, May 4. Yates Center will face a Tornadoes squad coming off a 4-3 non-league loss to Erie (Erie, KS). The Tornadoes record now stands at 5-4.
