The Monticello Sages softball team scored 13 runs and limited the visiting St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans to 10 in the Sages league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Monticello moves its record to 9-10 on the year. The Sages travel to Maroa-Forsyth (Maroa, IL) to clash with the Trojans in a non-league game on Wednesday, May 3. The Trojans come into the game with a record of 15-9. Maroa-Forsyth won 18-0 in their recent league game against Riverton (Riverton, IL)

In their next game, the Spartans clash with the Fisher Bunnies (Fisher, IL) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, May 3. St. Joseph-Ogden will attempt to move on its 19-8 season record. The Bunnies come into the game with a 17-8 record after their 9-4 league loss to Tremont (Tremont, IL).
