The Rantoul Eagles (Rantoul, IL) softball routed the host Paxton-Buckley-Loda Panthers (Paxton, IL), 17-3 in Monday's league bout.
The Eagles (8-9) will now prepare for their bout against Monticello (Monticello, IL). The Sages go into the Illini Prairie bout with a 9-11 record. In their last bout, Monticello was routed by Maroa-Forsyth (Maroa, IL), 11-2, in a non-league bout.
The Panthers now possess a 3-16 record. They play next when they travel to Tri-Valley for a non-league bout on Tuesday, May 2. Paxton-Buckley-Loda will confront a Vikings squad coming off a 8-5 non-league win over Clinton (Clinton, IL). The Vikings record now stands at 12-6.
