The Byron Tigers baseball team scored 8 runs and limited the visiting Durand/Pecatonica Rivermen to 1 in the Tigers non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Tigers (21-3) will now prepare for their match against Dixon (Dixon, IL). The Dukes & Duchesses go into the Big Northern match with a 15-4 record. In their last match, Dixon was overwhelmed by Stillman Valley (Stillman Valley, IL), 4-3, in a league match.
The Rivermen (10-7) will now prepare for their match against South Beloit (South Beloit, IL). The Sobos go into the non-league match with a 4-11 record. In their last match, South Beloit tipped Earlville (Earlville, IL), 2-1, in a non-league match.
