Greenville Comets (Greenville, IL) fans were thrilled Wednesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Salem Wildcats (Salem, IL), 9-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Comets confront the Southwestern Piasa Birds (Piasa, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, May 10. Greenville will attempt to better on its 21-3 season record. The Piasa Birds enter the challenge with a 6-15 record after their 9-0 non-league loss to Mater Dei (Breese, IL).

The Wildcats now have a 2-15 record. They take the field next when they travel to Triad for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 14.
