In Wednesday's non-league battle, the host St. Laurence Vikings soccer squad scored a close 2-0 win over the Stagg Chargers.
The Vikings (9-9) will now prepare for their battle against Hinsdale South (Darien, IL). The Hornets go into the non-league battle with a 10-5 record. In their last battle, Hinsdale South nipped Providence Catholic (New Lenox, IL), 3-2, in a non-league battle.
The Chargers (4-12) will now prepare for their battle against Lincoln-Way Central (New Lenox, IL). The Knights go into the SouthWest Suburban Read battle with a 7-5 record. In their last battle, Lincoln-Way Central Homewood-Flossmoor (Flossmoor, IL), 1-1, in a league battle.
