The crowd at Wednesday's non-league game between the West Carteret Patriots (Morehead City, NC) and the host Cedar Ridge Fighting Red Wolves (Hillsborough, NC), saw West Carteret's lacrosse team nudge Cedar Ridge by a margin of 8-7.
The Patriots (4-7) will now prepare for their game against First Flight (Kill Devil Hills, NC). The Nighthawks enter the non-league game with a 13-4 record. In their last game, First Flight was tipped by Cape Fear Academy (Wilmington, NC), 10-7, in a non-league game.
