In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC) lacrosse squad routed the visiting Wakefield Wolverines (Raleigh, NC), by a count of 17-5.

Coming up next, the Buccaneers confront the Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders (Raleigh, NC) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, May 4. Laney will attempt to advance on its 15-4 season record. The Crusaders enter the contest with a 16-5 record after their 17-5 league win over Sanderson (Raleigh, NC).

The Wolverines now own a 14-5 record.
