Leo Lions (Leo, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Bellmont Braves (Decatur, IN), 2-0 in a league challenge.

The Lions now own a 15-2 record. They take the field next when they host Woodlan for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 2. Leo will battle a Warriors squad coming off a 2-1 league win over Heritage (Monroeville, IN). The Warriors record now stands at 11-2.

With the loss, Bellmont falls to 8-4 on the campaign. The Braves travel to Huntington North (Huntington, IN) to battle the Vikings in a Northeast Eight challenge on Thursday, May 2. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 11-3. Huntington North won 6-5 in their recent league challenge against DeKalb (Waterloo, IN)
