The crowd at Wednesday's non-league match between the Lincoln-Way West Warriors (New Lenox, IL) and the visiting Bloom Blazing Trojan (Chicago Heights, IL), saw Lincoln-Way West's softball squad nip Bloom by a count of 5-0.

The Warriors now sport a 12-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Stagg for a SouthWest Suburban match on Thursday, May 2. Lincoln-Way West will face a Chargers squad coming off a 6-0 league loss to Andrew (Tinley Park, IL). The Chargers record now stands at 3-17.

With the loss, Bloom falls to 17-5 on the campaign. The Blazing trojan host Thornton (Harvey, IL) to face the Wildcats in a Southland Athletic match on Monday, May 6. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 1-11. Thornton lost 15-5 in their recent league match against Rich Township (Olympia Fields, IL)
