The crowd at Wednesday's league match between the Cheverus Stags (Portland, ME) and the visiting Bonny Eagle Scots (Standish, ME), saw Cheverus's softball squad nip Bonny Eagle by a count of 7-3.

The Stags now sport a 6-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Noble for a Class A South match on Friday, May 3. Cheverus will face a Knights squad coming off a 12-0 league loss to Windham (Windham, ME). The Knights record now stands at 1-6.

With the loss, Bonny Eagle falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Scots host Marshwood (South Berwick, ME) to face the Hawks in a Class A South match on Friday, May 3. The Hawks enter the match with a record of 3-2. Marshwood won 4-3 in their recent league match against Thornton Academy (Saco, ME)
