Proctor Rails (Proctor, MN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Denfeld Hunters (Duluth, MN), 6-0 in a league challenge.

The Rails now sport a 11-1 record. They take the field next when they host Maple Lake for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 4. Proctor will face a Irish squad coming off a 15-12 non-league loss to Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City (Grove City, MN). The Irish record now stands at 1-8.

With the loss, Denfeld falls to 1-10 on the campaign. The Hunters host Marshall (Duluth, MN) to face the Hilltoppers in a Lake Superior challenge on Monday, May 6. The Hilltoppers enter the challenge with a record of 1-7. Marshall lost 32-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Superior (Superior, WI)
