Grant Community Bulldogs (Fox Lake, IL) followers were pleased Wednesday as they observed their softball team notch a victory over the visiting Jacobs Golden Eagles (Algonquin, IL), 14-1 in a non-league test.

Coming up next, the Bulldogs clash with the Grayslake North Knights (Grayslake, IL) in a Northern Lake County test, on Thursday, May 2. Grant Community will attempt to improve on its 7-14 season record. The Knights come into the test with a 3-16 record after their 11-1 non-league loss to Vernon Hills (Vernon Hills, IL).

The Golden Eagles (4-18) will now prepare for their test against Central (Burlington, IL). The Rockets come into the Fox Valley test with a 11-14 record. In their last test, Central was routed by McHenry (McHenry, IL), 6-5, in a league test.
