Pinkerton Astros (Derry, NH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Keene Blackbirds (Keene, NH), 7-3 in a league challenge.

The Astros now own a 8-0 record. They take the field next when they host Londonderry for a Division I challenge on Friday, May 3. Pinkerton will battle a Lancers squad coming off a 12-0 league win over Nashua North (Nashua, NH). The Lancers record now stands at 9-1.

With the loss, Keene falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Blackbirds travel to Concord (Concord, NH) to battle the Crimson Tide in a Division I challenge on Friday, May 3. The Crimson Tide enter the challenge with a record of 7-1. Concord won 14-1 in their recent league challenge against Timberlane (Plaistow, NH)
