Mahopac Indians (Mahopac, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Scarsdale Raiders (Scarsdale, NY), 8-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Indians now own a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Brewster for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 3. Mahopac will battle a Bears squad coming off a 5-1 league loss to John Jay (Cross River, NY). The Bears record now stands at 6-6.

With the loss, Scarsdale falls to 6-5 on the campaign. The Raiders host Ursuline (New Rochelle, NY) to battle the Koalas in a Section 1 I - B challenge on Thursday, May 2. The Koalas enter the challenge with a record of 2-2. Ursuline lost 6-1 in their recent non-league challenge against White Plains (White Plains, NY)
