Utah High School Softball - Pleasant Grove bounces Maple Mountain

May 1, 2024: Spanish Fork, UT 84040

Spectators at Wednesday's non-league match between the Pleasant Grove Vikings (Pleasant Grove, UT) and the host Maple Mountain Golden Eagles (Spanish Fork, UT), witnessed Pleasant Grove's softball squad tip Maple Mountain by a count of 7-2.

The Vikings now sport a 16-6 record. They play next when they host American Fork for a 6A Region 3 match on Thursday, May 2. Pleasant Grove will meet a Cavemen squad coming off a 11-2 league win over Lone Peak (Highland, UT). The Cavemen record now stands at 5-12.

With the loss, Maple Mountain moves to 8-12 on the season. The Golden eagles travel to Cedar Valley (Eagle Mountain, UT) to meet the Aviators in a 5A Region 7 match on Thursday, May 2. The Aviators go into the match with a record of 11-10. Cedar Valley lost 6-2 in their recent league match against Springville (Springville, UT)
