The crowd at Wednesday's non-league match between the Monacan Chiefs (Richmond, VA) and the host Mechanicsville Mustangs (Mechanicsville, VA), saw Monacan's softball squad achieve victory over Mechanicsville by a count of 13-5.

The Chiefs now sport a 3-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cosby for a Dominion match on Monday, May 6. Monacan will face a Titans squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Glen Allen (Glen Allen, VA). The Titans record now stands at 10-5.

With the loss, Mechanicsville falls to 6-9 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Patrick Henry (Ashland, VA) to face the Patriots in a Capital match on Friday, May 3. The Patriots enter the match with a record of 5-8. Patrick Henry lost 7-0 in their recent non-league match against Powhatan (Powhatan, VA)
