Seymour Wildcats (Seymour, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Torrington Raiders (Torrington, CT), 14-1 in a league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 12-2 record. They take the field next when they host Oxford for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 3.

With the loss, Torrington falls to 1-7 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Waterbury Career Academy (Waterbury, CT) to battle the Spartans in a Naugatuck Valley - Brass challenge on Thursday, May 2. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 5-9. Waterbury Career Academy lost 15-1 in their recent league challenge against Woodland Regional (Beacon Falls, CT)
