The Ballston Spa Scotties (Ballston Spa, NY) baseball trounced the visiting Chatham Panthers (Chatham, NY), 16-5 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

The Scotties now own a 9-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Guilderland for a Section 2 Suburban - Blue challenge on Monday, May 5. Ballston Spa will clash with a Flying Dutchmen team coming off a 10-3 league loss to Shenendehowa (Clifton Park, NY). The Flying Dutchmen record now stands at 3-11.

With the defeat, Chatham drops to 10-4 on the year. The Panthers host Catskill (Catskill, NY) to clash with the Cats in a Section 2 Patroon challenge on Friday, May 2. The Cats go into the challenge with a record of 6-6. Catskill lost 17-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Ichabod Crane (Valatie, NY)
